dr kindi pngDear Readers

This month we welcome the Holy Month of Ramadan and there are changes to everyday life have implications for expatriates in the UAE.

Work schedules are arranged during Ramadan, which impacts everyone in the UAE. In general, the working day is usually 2 hours shorter. Muslims take advantage of free time in the afternoon for a nap but sometimes fatigue can lead to irritability and less productivity at work.

Fasters are also less vigilant on the roads and drive less carefully, especially near the Iftar. The number of road accidents increases significantly during the Holy Month.

With this in mind - all motorists and pedestrians keep your patience and tolerance whilst the main roadworks on Hamad Bin Abdulla Road are developing. I am pleased to see how quickly the work is progressing and it will all appreciate the upgrades when they are finished.

Ramadan Kareem and enjoy this issue.
