Dear Readers, We are proud to begin this year, 2010, with the opening of Burj Khalifa which is not only an icon for Dubai but for the United Arab Emirates and for mankind. The people came from around the globe to build this tower; engineers from South Korea; builders from Belgium and Dubai; consultants from Canada and the UK; architects and engineers from America etc. The world’s tallest building reflects just how global and advanced the field of architecture and construction has become.

With the beautiful weather that we have in this season a more natural phenomena is the sighting of Fujairah Flamingos. The graceful birds are migratory but seem to have taken up residence in Fujairah for the last few months. Let’s hope they will stay.

Also, another occasion is approaching this month reminding us not to forget our loved ones, which is: “Valentine’s Day”. This beautiful day means showing lots of togetherness and affection for that special “someone” in our lives! I would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a “HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY” Full of love and happiness!!!
