The Rezidor Hotel Group has appointed Cornelia Erhardt as general manager at its Radisson Blu Resort, Fujairah.
German national, Erhardt, joins from her former role as general manager of Radisson Blu Tala Bay Resort in Aqaba, Jordan which she had performed since 2009.
“Cornelia has been part of The Rezidor Hotel Group for many years now. Her experience within the company coupled with her experience in the Middle East region will be an asset to this property, our first hotel in Fujairah as we further establish it as a first-class resort,” commented Marko Hytonen, area vice president, The Rezidor Hotel Group.
Erhardt first joined the hotel group in 1978 as director of housekeeping at the Radisson SAS Scandinavia Hotel.
Over the last 30 years Cornelia has worked in several positions gaining her a wealth of managerial experience in the worldwide hotel industry.
She first arrived in the Middle East market in early-2007 to take up the role of general manager for the pre-opening of the Radisson Blu Residence, Dubai Marina.

The 257 rooms range from standard rooms to suites and will all be equipped with Radisson signature services such as free high speed internet access. Services of the resort comprise 5 restaurants, 2 bars, a lobby lounge and a beach lounge.
The beautiful spa area includes 4 terrace pools and a fitness centre, and the hotel has a dive centre and a dedicated pool and playground area for children. Business travellers find a multi-purpose hall and indoor conference space at the hotel as well as outdoor venues for up to 1,000 attendees.
