Ayesha was taught Indian classical dance by Shantilal but dreams of making it big in Bollywood. Going against her grandfather’s wishes, she abandons home for Mumbai where she becomes a great success in the film industry.
The story unfolds in high-energy dance routines by a cast of 40 performers with 1600 costume changes and over 3000 pieces of jewelry. The music is by Oscar-winning composer A.R. Rahman who was responsible for the Oscar-winning Slumdog Millionaire movie soundtrack.
