MEMORIES OF YOUTH

Here I am, there you are
Million and billion miles apart
No matter how hard I tried to reach you
The distance remains a thick barrier.

Grasping things that are far behind
Someday... I hope I can be near you
Time had emptied a place in my heart
And will remain empty till our roads meet up.

How long I wished I could feel you someday
Somebody to laugh with, somebody to cry with,
Someone to confide almost everything
Someone to comfort me in thy arms.

Now I reminisce the good and the bad,
The easy and the tough times that we've been through,
All which taught me certain things in life
That I could always be so proud of

Those days when we danced till the break of dawn,
Where we used to sing to the top of our lungs
As we sat side by side with non-stop talks
Playing silly childish games till we drop.

Our timeless and precious memories of youth,
Memories that shall never ever fade
As we start to grow and take full responsibility
I guess we're not the same children anymore.

Though I'll always look back as often as I could
To all these memories that keeps lingering in my mind.
These are my treasures that nobody can buy
Treasures I'll cherish for the rest of my life.

So I'll be seeing you again...
And we'll have fun once more
Singing, dancing, chatting non-stop
Even though we had grown old.
