The office of Mohammed Jaziri Consulting, which has experience in developing tourism strategies, prepared a proposal for the development of a tourism strategy, and the development of Fujairah, to achieve its objective as a tourist destination.
The proposed tourism strategy will be set for the coming 10 years and aims to look to the future through a full understanding of the present, officials say.
It will address the strategic issues likely to face Fujairah as a tourist destination and will determine how to share the strategy with the tourism sector in order to achieve their potential and deliver ongoing benefit to the community.
The research and analysis, from historical and future perspectives, is important in the development of this strategy. An initial assessment will be conducted to determine the availability of hard facts and figures. In the absence of such information, separate studies will be conducting, in parallel with all other research practices that are made.
Communication
There are also other factors for the development of this tourism strategy is the establishment of workshops and strategic meetings with members of the government, tourism and hotel sector and key stakeholders. Such information will contribute to the development of a solid base for the proposed tourism strategy, as well as ensuring constant communication with the private sector, leading to the success of the program.
The latest meeting comes within the framework of joint cooperation between the FTAA and the various sectors of tourism, and aims for an exchange of views, finding solutions to the obstacles facing the tourism sector in the emirate and working to create new ideas to stimulate tourism in the emirate.
The meeting was attended by Chairman of the Board of Directors of Fujairah Tourism and Antiquities Authority, members of the Board of Directors, the Director of the FTAA, managers of hotels and a number of employees of the FTAA.
