The Fujairah Educational Zone (FEZ), Division of Private Education, revealed there is a plan, which will be forwarded during the coming days to private schools, to provide student transport buses with sensors and surveillance cameras to improve health and safety prospects for students.
Sulaiman Salim Jemi’e, Head of the Division of Private Education said that his administration will, in the coming period, issue a circular to all private schools obliging them to provide school buses with internal surveillance cameras and sensors to protect the students.
The department also revealed the total number of teachers who have been appointed in private schools since the beginning of the current academic year, came to 150 teachers.
Jemi’e pointed out that, since the beginning of the current academic year, FEZ has approved the appointment of 150 teachers from different disciplines of study in a number of private schools in the emirate.
He stressed that the salaries of teachers in any private school within the Emirate is not less than two thousand dirhams, based on the statements filed by schools administrations, pointing out that his administration are fully prepared to receive any complaint from the teachers affected in this regard.
He revealed that his administration has, since the beginning of the current academic year, issued warning to 3 private schools, for offenses relating to the opening of a commercial nursery within school premises, contrary to regulations, the absence of a school principle, and the unlawful increases of teaching lessons beyond the 27 lesson quota.
The Head of the Division of Private Education also said there are currently 3 new private schools under establishment in the emirate; one for female students in the areas of Al-Faseel - teaching British Curriculum, another in Sakamkam –teaching U.S. curriculum- and the third is in the city of Dibba Fujairah teaching Indian Curriculum.
