Sunday 29th April 2018

The Abu Dhabi Police on Saturday said 85 motorists were fined in the first quarter of this year for littering, with each of them receiving a Dh1,000 fine and six black points on the driving licence.

Brigadier Ahmad Al Shehi, deputy director of Traffic and Patrols Department, said Abu Dhabi Police are committed to maintaining Abu Dhabi’s clean image and keeping a watchful eye on any drivers found littering on the streets from their cars.

Brig Al Shehi urged the public to play their part in keeping Abu Dhabi’s roads and environment clean which, he said, benefits the whole community. He also stressed the importance of setting a positive example for young children to follow.
