Mohammed bin Rashid offers condolences to Fujairah Ruler

Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum offered his condolences on the recent death of His Highnes Sheikh Hamad bin Saif Al Sharqi.

 

Sheikh Mohammed visited the mourning Majlis at Al Remailah Palace in Fujairah and expressed his condolences to H.H. Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah, H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah and sons of the late Sheikh Hamad bin Saif Al Sharqi.

 

He prayed to Allah Almighty to have mercy of his soul and to grant him eternal peace in heaven, and to provide members of Al Sharqi family with comfort and solace.

 

Sheikh Mohammed was accompanied by H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation, and a number of senior officials.

 

His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Saif Al Sharqi, Deputy Ruler of Fujairah passed away aged 79 on Wednesday 29th March 2017.

 

His record is filled with bright achievements, rich national accomplishments and immortal actions that have affected the political, social and humanitarian life of Fujairah over the course of more than 50 years, which started with his appointment as Minister of State under Federal Decree No. 3 in 1971 by Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, based on the suggestion of the Prime Minister. He later became the deputy for H.H. Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah, in 1976.

 

During his time as the Deputy Ruler of Fujairah, he assumed the position of Chairman of the Municipal Council in 1984, playing an effective role in achieving economic and service development in Fujairah.

 

Sheikh Hamad bin Saif Al Sharqi, who was born in 1938 in Fujairah, grew up with the love of giving and was known for his wisdom, bravery and ability to spread peace and order, and his desire and monitoring of the affairs of Fujairah’s citizens, and for providing them with the hope of a dignified life.

 

The date 2nd December is considered one of the most important events witnessed by him as he watched the determination from Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum, as they turned the idea of the union of the United Arab Emirates into reality and worked with love and will for the Federation of the Emirates to be a unique experience in the region.

 

He contributed to the process of nation-building and the journey of giving since the beginning of his life by focussing on schools and spreading education and providing the most sophisticated services in all fields.

 

He encouraged those who sought education out of his belief in the role of education in building humans and society and forming a civilised awareness in other countries. He was always present on all occasions to honour students who excelled.

 

He met citizens and checked with them about their needs and made sure they were doing well. He heard their demands and needs of essential services in their areas so they could have a dignified life filled with stability, security and welfare.

 

God rest the soul of Sheikh Hamad bin Saif Al Sharqi and grant him mercy in Paradise. He left behind the memory of a man who said and did so that the country and citizen were his top priority.
