Last month, the successful and informative FUJCON 2009 was held at Al Diar Siji hotel. FUJCON 2009 covered shipping and bunkering problems during the current economic crisis, the expansion of Fujairah and its port, and environmental issues. Fujairah is growing despite the worldwide financial predicament and with the Abu Dhabi pipeline now a reality we will all witness a period of unprecedented growth and development.

The recession affects us all but Fujairah’s future remains steady and the good news that there is determination from the Bunkering and Oil industry to continue to invest even in these difficult times.

Last month also ended with tropical storms and many of us were affected by flood waters but as April begins we will see many visible signs of spring as the land rewards us for rains it received.
