Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah, accompanied by H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah attended a ceremony held by the Faculty of “Sandhurst”, Royal Military Academy, in the presence of its President, Major General Patrick Marriott, on the occasion of the graduation of students who have completed their military training.
Others who also attended the ceremony were: Dr. Sheikh Saeed bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Sheikh Faisal bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Department of Finance, Chairman of the Free Zone in Ras Al Khaimah, Sheikh Ahmed bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Department of Ports and Customs in Ras Al Khaimah, Sheikh Mohammed bin Suroor Al Nahyan, Sheikh Sultan bin Said bin Mohammed Al Nahyan Sheikh Hamdan bin Saeed Bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, and a number of other Sheikhs and dignitaries.
Also attending was Marine Brigadier General Saleh Mohammed, military attaché at the embassy in London, and the Chargé d’affaires of the UAE Embassy in London, Ms. Heba Hamoud Al Junaibi.
Included in the batch of graduate students were: Sheikh Maktoum bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Shaikh Khalifa bin Said bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Sheikh Abdullah bin Faisal bin Saqr Al Qasimi and Ahmad Salah Ali al-Marri.
The sheikhs expressed their admiration for the high level enjoyed by the Sandhurst Academy which plays a vital role in the preparation and qualification of officers and noted the performance of training providers and thanked those in charge of academy, hoping for more continued success.
It should be noted that the Sandhurst Academy is one of the oldest colleges of the British military and was founded in 1802.
One of the main objectives of the Academy is to be a national centre for leadership excellence and it has many world-renowned graduates, including many of the most important personal of the British Army and other foreign graduates who later occupied the highest positions in their home countries as a result of military qualifications gained in this institute.
Upon returning to Fujairah, His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah, and in the presence of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, received crowds of well-wishers on the occasion of the graduation of Sheikh Maktoum from the Sandhurst Royal Military Academy .
Offering their congratulation to His Highness, the Ruler of Fujairah, were a number of the elders, officials and dignitaries, statesmen and heads of departments and directors of the Federal and local communities and citizens and residents.
Other personalities who also attended the receptions were: Sheikh Saleh bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Chairman of the Department of Industry and Economy in Fujairah, Sheikh Rashid bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Chairman of the Fujairah Culture and Media, Sheikh Maktoum bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Saif Al Sharqi, Director of e-government and a number of sheikhs and officials.
