Chef David Miras Awarded Sous Chef of the Year at the highly competed Hotel Industry Awards
Two years in succession, since the inception of Caterer awards in 2009, Le Meridien Al Aqah team is recognized for its quality food and beverage offerings. Chef David’s innovation, leadership and culinary talent were rewarded at the glittering Caterer Middle East Awards held on September 27, 2010 in Dubai. The resort team had won the Bar Manager of the year award at the inaugural event in 2009.
Patrick Antaki, General Manager, Le Méridien Al Aqah Beach Resort, commented, “It is fantastic to see David on stage, well deserved with his team spirit and attention to detail. This is taken as great recognition for what team Al Aqah's commitment towards quality offerings and move forward in greater strength to innovate and delight our guests”.

Since his arrival at the resort, Chef David has been an integral part of the launch of the chic Italian restaurant – Sapore that serves a unique selection of classic and contemporary dishes created by him and his team by sourcing authentic ingredients from Italy. His innovation and commitment to quality is evident in the variety sea food dishes and steaks offered at Gonu Bar & Grill, the resort’s romantic ocean front outlet.
