An exciting Fujairah Fishing Competition

Fujairah International Marine Club held yet another classical Fujairah Fishing Competition on Friday 30th January 2015. This fun based event which FIMC holds trice a year became one of the members favourite event during the season. FIMC management added a new category; Junior Competitors. Major Ahmed Ebrahiem, Managing Director of Fujairah International Marine Club stated that this new category aims not only to encourage youngsters to learn how to fish, but for their parents to also support them with their passion to fish.

 

The competitors departed from FIMC at 6 am looking to win one of the categories of the competition after inspecting the boats following the fishing rules and regulations. After a long day in the sea, all vessels were back with their catch meeting the deadline of 4:30pm.

 

The winners of the first Fujairah Fishing Competition of 2015 were as following:

 

Heaviest Catch: 

1st Place: Hazza Al Yammahi (UAE)

2nd Place: Alan Milligan (UK)

3rd place: Ian Price (UK)

 

Longest Catch: 

1st Place: Rustan Shamuzov (Russia)

2nd Place: Ian Menzies (UK)

3rd Place: Artur Kheylik (Russia)

 

Ladies Competitors: 

Layla Kheylik (Russia)

 

Junior Competitors: 

1st place: Julian Kessler (Germany)

2nd place: Adrian Bensalah (Sweden)

3rd place: Emma Kessler (Germany)
