The UIM X-Cat World Powerboat Series - Final Heat is finally here!

The waiting days are over … On 12th – 13th April 2012, Fujairah will witness the 5th and final heat of UIM X-Cat World Powerboat Series which will be held under the patronage and presence of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah and organized by Fujairah International Marine Club.

 

X-Cat powerboats are different from other categories, the size of the powerboat is relatively smaller than Class 1 powerboats, and the engines are outboard where in Class1 powerboats engines are onboard. 

 

It is known for being one of the most extreme powerboat challenges in the world where 14 of the world’s well known names in powerboat world from all over the world will compete on the Indian Ocean for the first time this season, these names include Fazza, Qatar Team, Extreme Marine, and La Vida Loca. 

 

The race course where all the engines’ roars will be heard will stretch for 5NM (9.26KM) on the Indian Ocean from Hilton to Banana Breakwater.
