His Highness Sheikh Rashid bin Hamad Al-Sharqi, Chairman of Fujairah Culture and Media Authority, saluted the UAE’s armed forces on the 36th anniversary of their unification.
Sheikh Rashid directed his thanks and tributes to the founding fathers for their effort to establish and consolidate the UAE’s armed forces and their efforts to develop them according to the latest military armaments and tactical systems.
This came during his participation in the ceremonies, held at Fujairah’s naval base, marking the anniversary of unification of the armed forces.
His Highness Sheikh Rashid listened to a brief description of the base and its nature of work from Navy Colonel Saeed Al-Tunaiji, Base Commander.
Sheikh Rashid praised the level skill and military tactics achieved by the officers and members of the base of, highlighting the continuous development of the armed forces during the thirty-six years thanks to its staff of officers, non-commissioned officers and individuals who attain continuous achievements thanks to the support and attention given by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of UAE and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President, UAE Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces.
H.H. Sheikh Rashid bin Hamad Al-Sharqi toured the various sections of the naval base inspecting the work therein, and during the conclusion of the ceremony he honoured distinguished officers, NCOs and individuals at the naval base.
