ISC Fujairah host East Coast Open Badminton Tournament

Indian Social Club Fujairah organised the East Coast Open Badminton Tournament at the club premises which began on October 8th. 

 

The tournament consists of Singles, Doubles, Mixed Doubles, under 10- Singles, Under 12 Singles, Under 14 Singles, Under 16 singles and Veterans.  More than 300 players from different parts of  East Coast took part in the tournament. The finals were held on November 6th.

 

The winners and runner ups are as follows.

Under 10-

Zayan (Winner), Adithya Sathish (Runner up)

Under 12-

Fazim (Winner), Neo Jackson (Runner up)

Under 14-

Fazim (Winner), Adil Olakara (Runner up)

Under 16 -

Abdulla (Winner), Amal Pradeep (Runner up)

Men’s Singles-

Venu (Winner), Farooq Bandarkar (Runner up)

Men’s Doubles-

Jackson and Abdulla (Winner), Venu and Tony (Runners up)

Veterans Doubles-

Haris and Pradeep (Winner), Venu and Tony (Runners up)

Girls-

Amal Sainudheen (Winner), Waseema (Runner up)

 

Amal, Adill, Abdula and Ummer have been  selected from CBSE UAE Clusters to compete at the National Badminton Tournaments in India  in the Under 16 category, and Shahile and Fazim have also been selected for the same tournament in the Under 14 Category. All the children participating on the East Coast were coached and trained with the ISC.
